ATJODA HOPE FOUNDATION ADVOCATES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, PEACE, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AT MWAGHAVUL WOMEN EVENT

The Founder & CEO of ATJODA Hope Foundation, Chief (Mrs.) Josephine Abbas Dayilim, attended a programme organized by the Mwaghavul Development Association Women Wing, led by her President, Mrs. Grace Gora. The event featured notable dignitaries, including the Mishkagham Mwaghavul, Da John Putmang Hirse; The wife of the Mangu Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Nanbyem Mwolpun; The Permanent Secretary, Security, Mr Wycliffe Biwet;

Dan Issa Mangu, Chief Mathew Dangkwat;National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Deacon Bulus Dabit; and other prominent leaders and stakeholders.

In his address, His Royal Highness Mishkagham Mwaghavul emphasized the need to be peaceful, remain vigilant and report any suspicious or harmful activities, so that together we can build a safer and more resilient community.

 He encouraged the women to promote the preservation of the Mwaghavul language by speaking it always.

Chief Mrs. Dayilim delivered a compelling address, highlighting the significance of women as peace and change makers in their communities. She encouraged women to explore skills acquisition and entrepreneurial opportunities, emphasizing sustainable living and offering support for business registration and product development.

She also addressed them on pressing social issues, including drug abuse and chronic alcoholism amongst the youths, and the need to monitor and talk to their wards to shun such negative and destructive vices. She further stressed the importance of community development, financial independence, and maintaining cleanliness ( Hygiene and wellness).

She said ATJODA Hope Foundation’s mission was out to support the  vulnerable and less privileged in the communities, providing advocacy and succor to widows, orphans and  youths indulging in drug abuse.

That the foundation’s main goals include;  ensuring the well-being of victims of communal crisis and other forms of upheavals and providing functional education for orphaned victims. Its programme areas include agriculture, entrepreneurship, education, infrastructure, and social intervention.

The founder further pledged to support an entrepreneur making a drink of Coconut, Date, and Tigernut (CDT) with product registration and encouraged women to nurture their families and promote peace and stability.

Many Mwaghavul women appreciated the message and expressed interest in entrepreneurship, seeking guidance and assistance on product registration.  The founder shared her number with them and promised to link them up with NAFDAC

and other relevant Government regulatory agencies for necessary certifications.

ATJODA Hope Foundation calls on well-spirited individuals and organizations to support its efforts to empower and bring succor to women, orphans and educate youths on the dangers of drugs abuse in crisis-affected communities in Plateau State and beyond.
